clicks.page vs Vercel Web Analytics

If your site runs on Vercel, Web Analytics is a click away and costs very little. Here's what clicks.page adds, and when Vercel's built-in option is enough.

The short answerVercel Web Analytics is the easiest choice for a Vercel site: cookieless, framework-aware and cheap per event. It only works on Vercel, though, and has no revenue, realtime, goals or funnels. clicks.page works on any host and is built around which visits pay.

Pick Vercel Web Analytics if…

  • Your site is on Vercel and you want zero setup[2]
  • You only need pageviews, referrers and countries
  • Your Vercel Pro credit already covers it[1]

Pick clicks.page if…

  • Your site isn't (only) on Vercel
  • You want revenue by source, realtime, goals and funnels
  • You want UTM campaigns without an add-on[7]
  • You want to keep more than 12 months of history[1]

Vercel's free Hobby plan includes 50k events but is for non-commercial use only. A commercial site needs Pro: $20 a month platform fee with $20 of usage credit shared with hosting, then $3 per 100k events[1]. Its cost depends on what else your Vercel usage spends the credit on.

Moving from Vercel Web Analytics

Add clicks.page's one line (or paste one prompt into your coding agent) next to Vercel Analytics; both can run together while you compare. Vercel Analytics history can't be exported in full (CSV export is capped per panel), so clicks.page starts from the day you add it.

Questions

Does Vercel Web Analytics work on other hosts?

Not in practice: its setup relies on Vercel routes added at deploy time, and Vercel advises against proxying it[2].

Is Vercel Web Analytics free?

On Hobby, for non-commercial sites, up to 50k events a month. Commercial sites need Pro[1].

Can I use both?

Yes. They don't conflict, so you can run clicks.page alongside while you compare.
