clicks.page vs PostHog
PostHog is a full product platform: product analytics, session replay, feature flags, experiments and web analytics. clicks.page does one thing. Which you want depends on the job.
Pick PostHog if…

Price at the same traffic
PostHog's first 1M events each month are free, then per-event pricing[1]. Its web analytics also records page-leave and autocapture events, so a pageview is usually more than one event; at 1M pageviews we estimate $50–84 a month from its price table.
| Monthly pageviews | clicks.page | PostHog |
|---|---|---|
| 10k | $9/mo $90/yr | $0/mo $0/yr |
| 100k | $19/mo $190/yr | $0/mo $0/yr |
| 1M | $49/mo $490/yr | ≈$50–84 |
| Free plan / trial | 14 days, no card | Free tier: 1M events a month[1] |
| Websites | Up to 100 on every plan | 1 project free, 6 on paid[1] |

Where PostHog is better
- A whole platform: product analytics, session replay, feature flags, experiments and a data warehouse[1].
- A generous free tier: 1M events, 5k recordings and 1M flag requests a month[1].
- Stripe revenue metrics such as MRR, ARR and LTV[2].
- An EU cloud, plus a free (unsupported) self-hosted version[5][11].
Where clicks.page is better
- No cookies by default. PostHog sets cookies unless you switch on cookieless mode[4].
- Revenue by source as a built-in view, from six payment providers. In PostHog, revenue by channel needs a SQL insight[2].
- A ~7.4 KB script, against PostHog's ~100 KB (our measurements).
- Realtime that's out of alpha: a live map and visitor list[6].
- Predictable pricing by pageviews, rather than events that grow with autocapture.

Moving from PostHog
clicks.page starts collecting from the moment you add one line (or one prompt to your agent). You can run it next to PostHog; many teams keep PostHog for product analytics inside the app and use clicks.page for the marketing site.
Questions
Is PostHog free?
Its first 1M events each month are free, with other free allowances for replays and flags[1]. clicks.page has a 14-day trial, then starts at $9 a month.
Can I use both?
Yes. A common setup is PostHog inside your product and clicks.page on your marketing site for traffic and revenue by source.
Does PostHog need a cookie banner?
PostHog's own GDPR guide says sites using it with cookies should show one; its cookieless mode doesn't need one[4].
Try clicks.page for 14 days
No card. Add one line to your site, or paste one prompt into your coding agent.
