clicks.page vs Plausible

Plausible is one of the best-known privacy-friendly Google Analytics alternatives. Both tools are cookieless and simple, and both start at $9 a month. The real difference is what each is built around.

The short answerPlausible is the mature, open-source, EU-hosted choice, with a long track record. clicks.page is newer and built around revenue: connect your payment provider and every sale is credited to the visit that made it, on every plan, with up to 100 websites included.

Pick Plausible if…

  • You want open source, or to host it yourself[11]
  • Your data has to stay in the EU[5]
  • A long track record and a bigger team matter to you[12]
  • You don't sell online, so revenue doesn't matter

Pick clicks.page if…

  • You want to know which posts, searches and links bring paying customers
  • You take payments with Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Dodo or Creem
  • You run several sites (up to 100 on every plan)
  • You'd like your AI agent to set it up and answer questions about your traffic

Price at the same traffic

Both charge by monthly pageviews and give 2 months free on yearly billing. Plausible's cheapest plan, Starter, matches our price at 10k and 100k pageviews. Revenue goals, funnels and custom properties need its Business plan ($19, $39 or $139 a month at the same traffic)[1][2].

Moving from Plausible

clicks.page imports your Plausible history, with a Plausible Stats API key or from a CSV export, so your charts start years back on day one. Imported history arrives as daily totals per page, source and country, so it can't be filtered quite as finely as data clicks.page collects itself. Many people run both for a week or two before switching.

Questions

Is clicks.page cheaper than Plausible?

At 10k and 100k pageviews the entry prices are the same ($9 and $19 a month). At 1M, clicks.page is $49 against Plausible Starter's $69[1]. The bigger difference is what's included: revenue, funnels, team members and up to 100 sites are on every clicks.page plan, while Plausible keeps them for Growth or Business.

Do I need a cookie banner with either?

Neither sets cookies. Plausible says no banner is needed for its analytics[4], and clicks.page works the same way, counting visitors with a one-way hash that changes daily. Whether you need a banner also depends on everything else your site loads.

Can I self-host clicks.page?

No, clicks.page is hosted only. If self-hosting is a must, Plausible Community Edition is a good option[11].

Can I move my Plausible data to clicks.page?

Yes: paste a Plausible Stats API key, or upload a CSV export, from Settings → Data.
